John Lion is an indie rock and folk artist. Honing his skills on Dorset stages before taking them to London, John Lion crafts the kind of music he wants to hear on the radio: honest, catchy and melody-driven.

2024 ended on a high note, with a first festival slot at Hertfordshire’s Begin Here festival and the honour of supporting 60’s legends The Zombies. Since then, John Lion and his band have been regular fixtures on the London music circuit, alongside standout shows in Brighton. His 7 singles have collectively garnered over 200k streams, receiving radio airplay and praise from influential blogs.

February 27th, 2026 sees the release of John Lion’s debut EP, offering a clear insight into the sound he’s shaping for the next chapter of his career.

His dynamic presence continues to shine as he regularly performs with his band at some of London's most prestigious venues, including The Bedford, Spice of Life, and the St Moritz Club. These stages have become a regular platform for showcasing his evolving sound and connecting with an ever-growing audience.

John Lion knows how to take what sounds good from his main inspirations (mostly 60’s acts with a dash of Britpop) and adapt it to his music, making the finished sound truly his own.
